Web search & fetch API
Find web pages and extract their readable text and links for research or agent workflows.
Alternative to
Firecrawl ↗
Paid workflow replaced
Web search and readable page-text retrieval for agents, instead of metered Firecrawl search/basic scraping beyond its free monthly credits. Firecrawl also has a free plan. Does not replace crawling, browser interaction, structured schemas or the complete Firecrawl API.
Before you switch
We tested TinyFish through Treg, not a separate direct TinyFish account. Direct use needs your own account/API key; the published limits are TinyFish’s and are not a guarantee of the allowance available through Treg. Browser agents, remote browsers and monitors are separate paid products. Search relevance varies and anti-bot sites may fail; canvas drawings are not extracted as text.
What it does well
- Official pricing keeps search and fetch free at any wallet balance.
- Read page text as Markdown, HTML or JSON within provider limits.
Hands-on check · 17 Oct 2026
TinyFish search and fetch both succeeded through Treg’s explicitly selected direct-provider endpoints on 17 October 2026, each charged $0.00. Search returned ten results; fetch returned Excalidraw’s page text and links. Raw JSON saved and reopened. Direct-account onboarding and API-key use were not tested.
