Workflow coverage and comparison notes

Replace the static website, documentation or prebuilt blog portion of GoDaddy, SiteGround or DreamHost hosting. Does not replace managed WordPress, PHP, mailboxes or bundled domain registration. Additional comparison: Replace only prebuilt static website hosting: portfolio, documentation or a generated blog. This requires static files or a rebuild; it cannot run an existing PHP/WordPress site unchanged. No mailbox, domain registration, managed support or free database is included. Domain renewals, dynamic services and paid APIs are separate. Shared Hobby bandwidth and build-minute limits apply. This is static hosting, not Render free databases or sleeping dynamic web services. Additional comparison: Replace hosting for a prebuilt static website, portfolio, documentation or blog. Not managed WordPress, PHP execution, databases, mailboxes, domain registration or registrar account management. Bring your own site files and domain; dynamic services and their costs are separate. Use Render static sites within the shared Hobby bandwidth, build-minute and custom-domain allowances. Extra usage can cost money or suspend free services; this is not the expiring free database or sleeping web-service route.

Before you switch

Static files only: no PHP, WordPress server, database or API runtime. Hobby allowances are shared across the workspace, capped at 25 services. Extra bandwidth costs $0.15/GB, extra domains $0.25/domain/month and extra pipeline minutes $5/1,000. Without a payment method, excess bandwidth can suspend free services and exhausted build minutes can stop new builds. Domain registration, email and third-party APIs are separate. Render free web instances sleep and are not recommended for production; free Postgres expires after 30 days. Those are not the free route recommended here.
