A solo publisher sends a consent-based newsletter and manages its subscriber list. This is the main hosted EmailOctopus service, not EmailOctopus Connect with separately billed Amazon SES. More room for a modest newsletter than Mailchimp Free; does not replace the full marketing suite. 250 contacts, 500 sends/month and 250 sends/day, one audience and one seat. Essentials: 13 USD/month. Displayed starting price at the 0–500 contact selection; page qualifies the offer as for 12 months. Not a quote for 2,500 contacts or a guaranteed later renewal rate.

Before you switch

EmailOctopus branding remains on free emails. Only one operator, one signup form and one landing page. Reports expire after 30 days. Business-oriented terms and anti-abuse rules apply; contact import does not establish consent. No claim of Mailchimp journey, ecommerce or multivariate-testing parity. Official export instructions allow admins to download subscribed/unsubscribed contacts and fields as a ZIP download; export links expire after seven days. Export file internals were not inspected. Hosted sending within the stated free allowance; no separate SES account needed for this route. Existing domain/site costs are separate. No numerical savings claim.
