Before you switch

Supabase already has a free plan: this is an alternative for different capacity needs, not a claim that Supabase always requires payment. Neon compute is metered; an always-on workload can exhaust the allowance. Postgres migration, auth, storage and realtime integrations need separate assessment; realtime is currently beta.
