Workflow coverage and comparison notes

Execute automated endpoint health checks, synthetic HTTP status validations and latency tracking with self-hosted Gatus instead of Checkly. Replace automated endpoint checks and a public health dashboard. Not a complete replacement for subscriber incident communications, managed infrastructure, support or enterprise controls.

Before you switch

Replace the HTTP endpoint uptime-check and health-dashboard slice of Site24x7 with Gatus. Apache-2.0 software has no per-monitor licence quota; always-on hosting, storage, backups and optional paid notification providers cost extra. No AI/model API required. Capacity depends on your server. Not Site24x7 full APM, browser transactions, RUM, network discovery or managed multi-region monitoring. Existing hands-on checks cover local HTTP failure/recovery and persisted history, not external alert delivery. Existing comparisons also require this self-managed infrastructure; external email/SMS providers and domains may charge.

Alternatives to these paid apps

Each comparison covers the workflow described above, rather than every paid feature.
